Terms and Conditions for Motorcycle Training with Bike Hire
Please carefully read the following terms and conditions before proceeding with our motorcycle training program, which includes bike hire. These terms and conditions outline the responsibilities and obligations of both the students and the instructors. By engaging in our training services, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
- Eligibility:
a. Height and Weight: Students must have a minimum height of 5.2 feet inches and a maximum weight of 25 stone. If you have a shorter inside leg measurement or are unsure about fitting our bikes, please contact us to schedule a convenient time for a fitting session to ensure proper fitment. If the instructor deems the bike to be too big for the students, they may lose their training fee.
b. Language Requirement: Students must be able to speak and understand English fluently to effectively participate in the training.
c. License and Certificates: For the Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course, a valid UK license and an eye sight test will be conducted. A CBT certificate, UK licence, theory test certificate, and a Module 1 certificate (when completing a Module 2 test) will also be required for A A1, A2 licenses. Please note that the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) will not proceed with your test if any of the required documents are missing. Photographs are not acceptable for certification.
- Safety and Equipment:
a. Protective Gear: Students must wear appropriate motorcycle clothing, including hard-wearing jeans and a padded jacket. Additionally, it is required to have boots with ankle protection (steel toe cap boots are not permitted). While jackets, helmets, and gloves may be available, please note that they are not included in the training agreement. Moreover, we do not provide waterproof clothing, so it is essential that you dress appropriately for all weather conditions.
b. Negligence and Equipment Damage: Any damage caused to our equipment due to negligence will be charged at the instructor’s discretion. It is crucial to handle the rented motorcycles responsibly and promptly report any damages.
- Booking and Cancellation:
a. Advanced Notice: Students must provide a minimum of 5 working days’ notice to cancel appointments. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in the loss of the training fee. - Insurance and Excess:
a. Insurance Excess: An insurance excess of £250 applies. Students are responsible for any covered damages that upto this amount. - Training Conduct:
a. Safety and Respect: Students must conduct themselves with respect towards our staff and other trainees. Any student who is verbally abusive or physically aggressive will have their training cancelled immediately. Moreover, such behavior will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
